We share a fascination with Tolkien's Middle-earth: the books, the lore, the theories, the conspiracies, and the conversations that can easily run late into the night. We are proudly enthusiastic fantasy nerds in general, too.
One book led to another, one theory to three more — and eventually to the card game.
02Then came The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game
The game brought the world we love to the same table in a new form. Deckbuilding is an important and often deeply rewarding part of the experience: a space to experiment, make discoveries, and shape a theme into something of your own.
Building a good deck is part of the adventure. It is simply not always the adventure you want to spend the evening on.
03Adult life does not follow the game calendar
Work, families, responsibilities, and all the usual clutter of life keep us busy. We live in different towns, so game night does not happen by simply opening the front door. When we find the time, we want to spend as much of it as possible actually playing.
If we have three hours together, we do not always want to spend the first two tuning decks.
04That is where PAKKA came from
The idea is simple: describe what you want to play, the mood or goal you have in mind, and the cards you own. PAKKA aims to handle the preparation and give you a usable whole that can go straight to the table — or become a starting point for your own tinkering when deckbuilding is exactly what you feel like doing.
Deckbuilding should be a joy. It does not have to be the gatekeeper to game night.
